Fiiiiiiinally the Shambles are set to release their debut album. For fans of The Libertines, or simply Pete Doherty, you'll surely enjoy this. It has all the addict swagger, the pub sing-a-long's, and the attitude that you'd expect. A bit slower than I expected to be honest [sometimes sounding like The Stones, and even some reggae vibes], but that's not to say the songs are boring. It's a lovely mess.

The sixteen-track album was produced by Mick Jones and mixed by Mick Jones and Bill Price. It's released through Rough Trade Records on Monday, November 14th in the UK. No US date set at the moment.

Here's a track from it for everyone to check out...

Damn I like this. You know I've never even heard Fuck Forever. I was hot and cold on the Libertines, so I guess I stopped paying attention. My bad, I guess.

Thanks Dalen.

Agreed. This is my new theme album.

My only complaints are that the harmonies are mixed a bit high on some songs (most particularly "Kilamanjiro" which sounds a bit different here than on the original single).

It also sounds a little unmastered sonically but that could be me or it could be intended (modern records are over-compressed anyways)

i think it's intended. Mick and Pete probably went for that live feel again, similar to the final Libs album.

This is alot better than i thought - i mean, i used to really like the Libs, but I didnt really have high hopes for Babyshambles. The stupid name didnt help either.

Cant believe i ignored 'Fuck Forever" for so long. Anyway, thanks D.
