I've got a friend who's buying tickets to the Feb. 6th show at the Portland State Theater. Any opinions on them live?

Double digits post, yup.

Sublime. But be in a patient mood, as they basically play in front of these weird video thingies that don't change much. Mesmerizing, if you're in the right mood (which I was, both times I saw them).

loved it when i saw it. saw it in a seated theater, though, and i think that made a difference. very intense but reuires comfort, or at least comfortable shoes. beautiful show, though, i think i'd like it in an intimate theater better.

agreed. i saw them in a regular club and disliked it a lot. part of the problem was that it was their tour without the strings and many songs were lacking that extra punch, but i also didn't think that their music worked well in the regular rock club atmosphere. some friends saw them within the same week in a seated theater and loved it.

I was actually in attendance for the Strathmore show (11th row woo!), and they completely blew my mind. In a theater I say go, go go! To witness them is such an experience. I also noted that the drummer is so much more prolific in the live show than on record. He is one talented guy!

Is Amina opening again on this tour?
