"Devin Davis" or "Margot & the Nuclear So and So's"

they're opening up for Rogue Wave tomorrow and I want to show up at the right time. Thanks...

The Devin Davis album will definitely make my Shmoo poll, if that means anything.

Can I get a RIYL please? I assume they're on the Rogue Wave tip, but I've seen some totally different openers than the headliners before. Thanks.

Devin Davis pretty much plays every instrument on his album. If it's just him and a guitar up there on a stage it might be slightly less interesting than if he's hired himself a full band.

RIYL: literate '00s singer/songwriters, '70s rock, Jules Shear, Ike Reilly without the edge

i saw devin davis in january and thought he had maybe 3 really good songs and a lot of mediocrity. i'd agree with radcliffe's riyl suggestions.

Thanks for the info. Sounds like it's just Rogue Wave tomorrow night then. Has anyone seen them on this tour yet?

Heard the album yesterday. (It's 9 bucks on their website, looks like)

Likeable indie pop rock, with wry lyrics, nothing stunning. Would be a grower, I bet. RIYL: Sondre Lechre, Ed Harcourt, Rosebuds, etc.

I thought I would give Rogue Wave another try and saw them in Portland, but they're just boring live. They're not an exciting live band and every song sounds the same to me except for the one or two favorites they played from Out of the Shadow.
