...definitely has more Queen influence than their debut.

I just wish they'd rock out a bit more.

There's one really good poppy track, which will probably be a future single. Some of these tunes are gonna sound awesome live.

PM if you want's the album, and only if you're a posting member of the board.

It's also being streamed on a couple sites - the links are on the old thread about 'em.

One of the sites is their MySpace page : www.myspace.com/thedarkness

I like the record.

it doesn't seem to have the hooks of the first, nor a standout track.
but it seems pretty good.

Definitely not as many hooks.

Dinner Lady Arms is the standout track for me. Love this one.

I found it took 2-3 listens for the hooks to start stickin', but they did.

I would LOVE to see Mutt Lang produce one of their albums. Gold Jerry! Gold!

Thanks for this Dalen! You rule!

Oh, and their drummer must use the biggest bass drum since John Bonham.

For those who have the booklet, does the name "Gregg Alexander" appear anywhere? I heard that he does backing vocals on one or two tracks. He sometimes goes by the name "Alex Ander."

Thanks for pointing me here, Busty.
Listening now and it's not blowing me away.

The singer must be a castrado. Or a freak of nature to be able to get that high. (We're talking Mariah Carey registers here, folks.) But the songs aren't doing anything for me.

It's too bad, because I liked the single from their first record.

I hate this group. Even moreso I hate that I keep hearing ads for Guitar Center advertising a chance to see them live. No thanks, rather see them dead, if given the choice.
