I agree. It may not have a "Miss You" but overall I think I like it more than "Some Girls" which I mean as the high praise it is.

is it bad that i was confused by this sentence because my "some girls" default goes to rachel stevens?

I thought Remain in Light was 1979, but I vote for it anyway. It transcends time.

Woman, Just Like Starting Over and Watchin The Wheels alone make that album indescribably good, no matter what else is on there.

Just listened to that Pretenders album again though. What a great record.

Jacko's best was '79. How about Public Image Limited 'Second Edition'? It came out in '80 (metal box was late '79, is that cheating?)

There was a great country album that year: George Jones 'I Am What I Am'. You can get the remaster at BMG w/ 4 bonus tracks. They also just added a 2 CD version of My Very Special Guests

Burning Spear: Social Living I think it was at BMG, not anymore. only original LP s they got are the Man In The Hills/Dry And Heavy twofer.

The best year of music in my sorry little life. I voted for Closer, but was torn between it and Crazy Rhythms, but 1980 saw my a fantastic release from some of my favorite artists and I could have gone with the release of any of:

Bunnymen
Cure
Heads
Furs
Banshees
Costello
Gabriel
The Sound
The Beat
The Jam
Black Uhuru
