how is this????

It's really fucking fun. The title track becomes something ebulient, from something toterlly raw. The B-side might be even better.

Night Rally/Clickers split EP.

Here is a link to a page with Night Rally's MP3s from this EP: http://www.honeypump.net/records/hpr-releases.htm

Clickers disbanded right around the time that this EP went to press. Night Rally just finished recording their first full-length with some of the TVOTR folks.

For some reason, I always listen to the bands you hype, maybe because you hype so few or maybe because I have liked other ones you have hyped.

Glad someone's paying attention!

I'll admit that Night Rally's probably not everyone's cup of tea, but they are such an amazingly big deal to me, I actually do feel compelled to "hype" them.

Also, much love for Faces on Film. http://www.myspace.com/facesonfilm

No really, how much fun would it be if we all did covers of idioteque? Like, don't spend more than a few hours as the only rule or something like that.

Hmph. I can tell this is a less than appealing idea. I envision creative use of handclaps.

I'll be seeing Faces On Film (with you, KPH, right?) on Saturday in my triumphant return to the Plan.

That's gonna be a good show.

Definitely check out "beginners" and the rest of the Seven Sisters songs they have up on myspace. I think the MM influence is easy to spot, but they definitely have their own thing going.

Myspace is kinda acting weird for me right now - http://www.facesonfilm.com if anyone else is having trouble and wants to check them out.

"makers of medicine" has a great payoff...

Idioteque, people. Idioteque.

I think the only two I've bought/heard are both Iron & Wine eps, so I don't have much input, but I like them both very much.

Maybe it's just me, but I haven't viewed In the Reins because it is a collaboration.

YSI, por favor?

I got something of theirs off of slsk called 5 Patterns or something. Haven't listened to it yet, but I've read some good things about their current EP.

I think the only EPs I've heard this year is Woman King and the one that came with BSS. I do want to eventually hear the Secret Machines covers EP.
