Windy City Obnians,
My cousin, who lives among you, called me yesterday to inquire about a listing she saw in the City Reader that had Harry Shearer (from The Simpsons) appearing in support of a woman I can't remember now (Gloria something, I think...) at Schuba's on Monday.

Anyone know what this is? She'd like to go but wants to know more about it first.

Can anyone help me/her out?

Thanks.

He'll be playing bass backing up his wife's band, her name is Judith Owen.

Judith plays pleasant piano-based singer-songwriter stuff . . . nothing that I flip over, but it is technically proficient and entertaining. That said, they are touring with a pretty fun looking Christmas album. Songs involve elves in leather, and stuff like that.

I guess they were here in KC the other nite...from what I gather, there's not a lot of promotion for the gigs. You're either lucky to hear about 'em, or S.O.L.

I also hear that they've been doing the Tap classic "Christmas With The Devil", & that they've been really cool about hanging out with people after the shows.
