And to be honest, I had just never heard "biopic" spoken out loud, and actually say it correctly now (unless I'm talking to the Sen.) even though it still makes no sense to me why its pronounced the way it is.

Apparently a lot of people pronounce it Yail's way, but its a Biographical Picture, or BIO-PIC. You take the words shortened to form the pronounciation.
