And since I dont see the post-yours here on the front page. And since I have a staunch "I have over 5000 posts so I dont have to use the search function" policy, here's my 2005 Shmoo Poll.

1. My Morning Jacket - Z
2. Andrew Bird - The Mysterious Production of Eggs
3. Kings of Leon - Aha Shake Heartbreak
4. Babyshambles - Down In Albion
5. Spoon - Gimme Fiction
6. The New Pornographers - Twin Cinema
7. Black Rebel Motorcycle Club - Howl
8. The Rolling Stones - A Bigger Bang
9. The Ike Reilly Assasination - Junkie Faithful
10. Marah - If You Didn't Laugh, You'd Probably Cry
11. Ryan Adams & The Cardinals - Jacksonville City Nights
12. The Detroit Cobras - Baby
13. The Paddingtons - First Comes First
14. Calexico/Iron & Wine - In The Reins
15. Franz Ferdinand - You Could Have It So Much Better...
16. Bright Eyes - I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning
17. Stephen Malkmus - Face The Truth
18. Bruce Springsteen - Devils & Dust
19. Solomon Burke - Make Do With What You Got
20. Of Montreal - The Sunlandic Twins

And yes Dalen, my list is just the same albums in a different order, but at least I added The Babyshambles and The Paddingtons to the charts just in case you wanna use them.

Nice list, man. Mine will look fairly similar, I think. I've got a few more albums to give a proper listen to before I compile my final. I've really got to give '29' a good listen.

Mine looks pretty similar to that but in a different order. I'm too lazy to find it in the original thread.

As usual, we like the same shit, but to varying degrees. Good list Kurtz...but WTF? NO JEEZY??

Probably would have made it around 12-15, BUT I refuse to just have one hiphop album in my list. That reeks of tokenism, and I honestly dont listen to enough hiphop to be an authority. By the way, dont forget that Solomon Burke album came out this year---I had that lightbulb moment last week and have been giving it some plays.

Whatever, that shit is HOTT, all's you need to know. You should peep that Kanye a little harder, too. Or, maybe get that Edan album that all these busters rave about, its prolly right up your alley.
