yeah I have been wanting to get into his work for awhile too.

It's a cop out, but the Por Vida tribute can't be beat. The reissues all have tasty bonus discs. I tend to reach for "With These Hands" more than the others, "Tired Skin" I consider to be one of the greatest songs ever written--it's not a rocker, which is why I didn't include it in my "List" forum thread, but it's nigh unequalled for poetry.

I have yet to come across anything he's done that isn't very good. Either buy whatever you stumble across first, used or cheap. Or just buy Gravity which is probably his best but not by a very wide margin.
