Im listening to Slowdive's 'Melon Yellow' and im just thinking about how I love the 'depth' of the production.

Recommend me other stuff with a similar feel please. Its kind of a vague request, I know. I dont really feel like Dub specifically right now, but more Dub influenced tracks if you know what i mean.

Speaking of Slowdive, aren't their albums being reissued tomorrow?

That's like saying that Spain isn't Mexico -- IT'S ALL MEXICO!

future sound of london - lifeforms
future sound of london - ISDN
klf - chillout
irresistible force - global chillage
mad professor - under the spell of dub
echo and the bunnymen - ocean rain
the orb - ...adventures beyond the ultraworld
cocteau twins - (anything)
massive attack - protection
amorphous androgynous - tales of ephidrina (if you find this on vinyl you are a very lucky man)
mazzy star - so tonight that I might see
seefeel - quique (D)
bark psychosis - hex (D)
windy & karl - drawing of sound (D)
bowery electric - beat
spritualized - lazer guided melodies
spritualized - pure phase
spritualized - ladies and gentlemen...
laika - sounds of the satellites
sugar plant - after after hours
piano magic - bliss out vol.13

I'm sure there are many more... I just grabbed these out of my collection. You probably know some of them. Most of these are from the mid-to-late-90s and are either ambient/shoegaze bands or ambient/electronic dub stuff. A number of them were discontinued last time I looked, (I put a "D" after them), but you might be able to find them secondhand or online. Have fun.

Oh... and if you have questions about any of them specifically feel free to ask.
:)

Not sure I understand the question -- just listened to Melon Yellow again -- what is it about it again that you like?

It's FSOL in another guise -- not sure if that was your question, but thought I'd at least try to answer it.
