So, FEMGAR likes shee like Paul Oakenfold.

Even when I was into music and maybe drugs that would make me like this music, all I listened to were Chemical Bros. and AIR and the like...

SO:

Who wants to make me a mix of similar stuff that I can present to her?

You should definitely get her to listen to the Gotan Project. It's very jazzy and sexy.

for the record, paul oakenfold= trance. trance and techno are two entirely different things.

i'd look into sasha & digweed. a classic trance album is "northern exposure vol. 1." if she's into oakenfold, i'd look into the perfecto series.

however, i despise oakenfold and all things trance, so i'm not much help here.

I thought everyone hated Paul Oakenfold. At least as a person. I know his music is ultra successful, but everyone I've ever known that has had any interaction with him (like 3-4 seperate accounts) all have told me repeatedly that he's a complete douche. or "buggery little twat" in one case...

Actually, of all the bizarre shit I force us to listen to on car rides and the like, the only one she has ever said anything positive or negative about was the Slowcore Monger Mix, which she loves.

Thanks Dalen. You are a gentleman and a scholar.

Not that I will ever allowed this to be played in my presence, but apparently having a sales job with over 500 miles of territory means you drive around searching for radio stations.

That was excellent, by the way. Just fucking great. Thanks for passing that along. I got in line for Vol. 2. as well. And you were right on with respect to those first four songs. It's about as good as it gets.

Crystal Method (Vegas, Keep Hope Alive [EP])
Fatboy Slim (Live on Brighton Beach)
Lo Fidelity All-Stars (How To Operate With A Blown Mind)
Telepopmusik - (Genetic World)
Dirty Vegas

Underworld's Second Toughest In the Infants is the best techno/trance/electro album on the planet.

They did the lifechanging song in Trainspotting when Ewan grabs the money and runs.

It's throbbing, it's heavy, it's beautiful, it's varied, it's extremely well produced. If she likes Oakenfold, Underworld will blow her mind.

I would also recommend:
Image
Crystal Method- Vegas (this album set the blueprint for commercial dance music in america)

Image
Prodigy- Fat of the Land (Music for the Gilted Generation is better, but Fat is better produced)

Image
Delerium- Poem (Oakenfold biggest hit is his remix of Silence with Sarah Mcwhateverthehellhernameis)

Deep Dish- various mix albums (probably the only DJ albums I would recommend. Their stuff is banging.

Image
Telefon Tel Aviv- Map of What Is Effortless (the most sensual album on the planet, a bit more IDM than trance but in my prospective does everything trance does but better)

We have the same model. Works pretty damn good. But then coming inside and using a remote control will SPOIL yer ass.
