Read the review on Pitchfork and was intrigured...Good Lord. This is so in the red that it makes Mono look like Lush by comparison.
(and Dive seem like Slowdive, if you're tuned in.)

So, is it really okay to 'start liking metal again'?

(BTW, The original title seems to be in Japanese symbols; that's the title I got from Sou- er, iTunes. ^_^)

really, "Pink" is pretty great, though not as good as "Akuma No Uta"

its been unhip at times, but i havent stopped liking metal since it hit me in the face when i was 6 or 7 years old hunched over a record player listening to 'number of the beast'....

Pink is awesome... unfortunately it took Pitchfork to bring it to the masses.

I thought I saw it on some folks Shmoo lists, though? Then again, we've always been ahead of the curve.

it isn't unhip at all. there's some fucking downright brilliant metal around at the moment. some of the most extreme and emotional music.

I still prefer ABSOLUTEGO to Pink, but could never listen to it as often as I will the latter.

I'm definitely behind the curve with these guys. I'd kind of written them off as just another doom/sludge band (which I guess was based on the album Amplifier Worship), but somehow I'd never managed to actually listen to Akuma No Uta until about a month ago. I was really surprised by it.

I'll probably pick up Pink if I can find it, and also Absolutego which I could have sworn I already had on mp3 (but can't find now).
