Our very own, IdiotJed (Paul), is probably a bit too shy to promote his weekly podcast. All the more reason, why he has friends like me to talk about it. ;)

It's mostly geared to power pop (Paul's fave genre), but comes across as fresh and interesting. He always has a tune or two of new artists that you might not be familiar with. Definitely worth listening to!

This week's listing is:

Hard-Fi (Hard To Beat)
Data Panik (Rulers And The States)
The Feeling (Modern Classic)
Jenny Lewis With The Watson Twins (Melt Your Heart)
764-Hero (You Were A Party)
Aberdeen City (In Combat)
Pretty Girls Make Graves (The Nocturnal House)
The Longcut (Late Night Bus)
Blue Screen (Add Up To Two)
Sound Team (The Fastest Man Alive)
Iko (Hologram)

Can you guess which three bands I had a personal hand in introducing him to? ;)

You can listen here. Check out previous shows at A Good Day For Airplay. Let him know what you think.

Do Pretty Girls Make Graves have anything new coming out? I always thought they were a band with potential but who hadnt really delivered anything of substance yet

I saw them in December and they said they had a new album coming in the spring.

Also, they're better live than on album.

There's no archives, blogspot just fucked up on me at the beginning so i've been posting the playlists of my eps trough the template ever since. I am switching to wordpress soon, so no more of that crap.

Just click on the podcast logo and it brings you to the Feedburner page where you can access all the episodes from there. Click on the Odeo logo on the right aswell, it does the same thing.

Oh and thanks T for the plug. :-)

RE: Pretty Girls Make Graves

"Élan Vital" the new album comes out April 11.

"The Nocturnal House" is the new song available for download on the Matador website.

Dalen: Thank you, kind sir.

Just bumpin' this back up as I wanted to mentioned that I featured those PAP bitches we all know and love on my cast this week. :-)

Also, Ian Love's (Cardia) first solo album which is all acoustic. Radically different from Cardia but still as awesome.

And you should check out this great new band out of Leeds name Vib Gyor.

Best way I could describe them is Coldplay but you know better and if they went post rock. Singer's voice kind of sounds like Jeff Buckley's.

The Westward Trail "Photography"
Worm Is Green "Push Play"
Paper Airplane Pilots "She Is A Ghost"
The Capes "Super Girls"
Ian Love "The Only Night"
Nina Gordon "Straight Outta Compton"
Ted Leo "Since U Been Gone"
Remy Zero "Impossibility"
Vib Gyor "Fallen"
