Li'l Steven has a song on the last two playlists I've turned on, and it's growing on me. I still don't like the lead vocals, because they seem somewhat lazy or lack a sense of urgency.

Even though it gets more likely to be purchased as I continue to listen, I still don't think it's necessarily the be-all end-all of Rock Music Today. Then again, it's still better than The Shins or DCFC or some other nancyboy squat rock.

i haven't heard the new one - i have the same feeling you do about the strokes in general though - the lazy lead vocals bug me/put me to sleep.
