Why have I heard this name 3 times today and Zero times before today?

They are from Mali and the record is out on Nonesuch. Has anyone heard this? I'm looking at you BillyG.

I like, don't love it. Manu Chao produced it, plays guitar on it and sings on a few songs. You can really hear Chao's influence all over it. While I enjoy it, I think what keeps me from loving it is that if I'm in a mood for Chao, I enjoy his own albums more and if I'm in a mood for afropop, I'd also tend to grab something else first. Taken on its own merits though, its a pretty good album.
