Listening to "Day Late, Dollar Short" (Southern Lord) at work right now, and fucking flipping. This is sick.

Thrones is Joe Preston is member of Earth, member of High On Fire, ex-Melvins, ex-Sunn O))) (recorded on the White ones).

I saw him open for Gaza Strippers ( now there's a mismatch ) a few years ago. Went in not knowing anything about him ( I just figured "The Thrones" were a band ) & was fairly blown away. Pretty good "WTF?" moment. I bought his CD ( the "Thrones" album ) & chatted with him a bit after the show - he seemed like a very, very nice guy.

I think I'ma pull that album out & take it to work tonite...
