Despite my best efforts, I've gotten this nasty stomach flu from my little brother, and I'm about ready to slap him upside his damn head if I wasn't riding the poreclain cruise every hour. T_T

Anyways, I'm feeling better than I was last night, but I still might have to go to hospital if this continues...isn't this supposed to be one of those 24 hour things?

I've come down with the flu as well but I'm at work today coughing in people's faces. Serves them right.

Serves them right for making me come to work.

It kind of annoys me that people always get 'the flu' and never a cold. If you had the flu you wouldn't be at work, believe me. It's kind of like saying your disabled if you stub your toe.

I had quite serious flu when I was a teenager and was bedridden for 6 utterly miserable weeks.

I think I know the difference. I have the flu.

Actually, most people don't know the difference -- aches? Fever? If not, then probably not flu.

Are you sure it's not your body's natural reaction to Belle & Sebastian?

Yup.

No fever yet but my bf has had this all week and I'm starting to feel its effects on me. Had to come home frm work at lunch today because I was so achey & exhausted. Gonna sleep it off and give my body a fitting chance.

At least Sir Six and I can watch movies together.

Well, there are lots of strains of influenza. Sounds like you had a seriously nasty one when you were younger; I ended up in the hospital with the flu about 10 years ago. It would seem these other folks have something milder. Not to suggest that it's not unpleasant what y'all are going through.

Yeah, more chills than fever for me.

Yeh, this has happened slowly over the last decade or so. People have mixed up "the cold" with "the flu" - my guess is calling it a cold isn't quite dramatic enough for your average North American.

If you need help in knowing the difference: anything that doesn't include a fever, mild-to-extreme hallucinations, stomach cramps, diarrhea, and projectile vomiting is a cold. Or, at least, used to be.

Heh. Cute.

Actually, I'm feeling a great deal better....not quite 100% but hovering around 85% or so. That bit of a fever I had broke, and now I'm not heaving every hour or so.

So, yay to recovery and not having to go to the hospital. 'Cause I was really close to doing so if I wasn't keeping anything in my system. :?
