I've been buying back catalog mostly the last few years. Sure there's a few artists I need an album or two from but I can't think of any glaring holes I know of.

I thought that might be the case, since your list more or less matched up with mine. Like, freakishly similar, except for Painful.

I'm trying to think of bands I haven't gouged on yet. I mean, I hate a lot of bands, so this is problematic.

What's your sig (the quote) from ?

I'm not entirely sure anymore...but it kinda makes sense to me.

The Stones- late bloomer but delving into the other albums that aren't Some Girls, Exile, etc... been raiding their back catalog off Virgin.

Can- only have Tago Mago, Future Days, and Monster Movies. I really like Tago Mago, but the others is something I slowly have to work on.

Mile Davis

For Can, you really should get Ege Bamyasi. It's closer to Tago Mago than those other two. After that, you should be good for a while. If you find yourself liking Monster Movie, you might want to get Unlimited Edition (which is really eclectic, but has some really good MM-style rockers). If you get into Future Days, then you'll probably want Soon Over Babaluma (though it isn't quite as good, IMO).

What Miles Davis do you have?

Kind of Blue is the only one. I've been meaning to pick up Birth of the Cool for a long time now... it's on Blue Note, so I'm going to order that through work. But yeah as far as his catalog, I wouldn't even know where to start.

Thanks for the Can suggestions, I'll definitely peep those out.

Death Cab For Cutie

Wasn't interested in hearing much from these guys but now I'm obsessed with the song "Soul Meets Body".

Now after searching the album "Plans" I see the song made Billboard Top 100. Does this mean the album is significantly different than their others?

I was worried for naught when "Float On" became popular because "Good News" is such a great album.

But then I like Modest Mouse. I don't really like DCFC...

(Look at all those trapped white spaces!)
