Have you considered a temp angency, at least to get some money ccoming through the door? You might find a decent gig and be able to go temp to permanent.

Job rejection sucks, especially when you don't get decent feedback as to why.

Hang in.

I feel your pain, but have never been unemployed for a serious amount of time without having money saved up for up to six months of unemployment.
What always bothers me is applying for a position that I am clearly overqualified for, but yet pays better than my current job, not getting the position and seeing the same position open again a couple months later. I don't know if these places decide they don't have the cash to afford the salary or if it is truly high turnover rates, but it kills me that some bastard might have gotten that job over me and then quits right away.
I also hate the rare interview where they tell you they aren't giving you the position because you are overqualified and they clearly feel you are just using it as a temporary position or stepping stone, then they hire someone who is underqualified that can't afford to be without a job like that.
All I can add is that at least you get rejection letters, I am lucky if half of the government agencies I apply for send me a letter that says you met the criteria for this job but we hired someone else.

That's why we have parents.

(...who, if I were to start, I could never stop apologizing to for all their time, money, food, tears and spare bedroom I used for the two years I was out of work. Now I just spend their time, food and spare bedroom. Need to stop that real soon.)

The guy that I was previously referring to, both of his parents died within 2 years of each other (1996-1998). So, when it came down to crunch time, the only thing that was standing between him and the street - was me. I didn't really want to live with him, much less continue to cover his ass...but I didn't really know what else to do besides dump him at a shelter which I figured would just create more problems for the both of us. But that period he was my couch guest.....that was a pretty dark time for me for many undisclosed reasons.
