any of you "industry-types" or those "in the know" heard this yet?
amazon has a pretty sweet video clip of the making of the album here. judging from that clip, the album is going to be fantastic. gilmour can still bring it on those solos.

theres no doubt as to his guitar playing ability as well as his songwriting chops, so heres hoping he didnt mail this one in like lots of other aging former rock stars.

I'm VERY excited for this. I watched the clip earlier today and was thrilled to hear Gilmour's soulful guitaring in a few spots. Sounds very promising from the little I could make out in the promo.

check the promo clip i linked to up in the original post...he definitely didn't "mail this one in"!

The single is "pleasant," in a Pink Floyd tones down to Crosby, Stills & Nash kind of way. I think the rest of the album will be more interesting.
