Yes, indeed it did.

I haven't heard the album, so I can't comment on that, but they were terrible live at Coachella. Boring as hell. Maybe the album is better.

ok. that's the only Kills song I like. I don't like any songs by The Killers.

Meh, I like the disc, and I'm keeping it, but it's not making my year-end list.

WRT ...using 'indie' as a lyric -- is it possible they could be being ironic?

I like this album. Could care less if its "indie" or on a "major label". If I bother to compile a top 20 list this year, it'd be on it.

I mean yeah, as I do with a lot of music, I'll probably not like it a year from now.

Are you really that fickle? I'm not slagging you, it's just when I honestly think back I still like pretty much everything that I have ever really been into. Some people I know chopped and changed, but with me it was pretty constant. Maybe I just listen to a load of bollocks through rose-tinted specs or something?! *reaches for Napalm Death's 'From Enslavement to Obliteration' and 'Tubular Bells'*

Infantile drivel. The music scene these days has become such a cultural backwater that people are actually sinking this low. Shite. Here today, forgotten tomorrow. What is going on?

The music scene has always had cultural backwaters. Not that The Killers are part of that. A backwater is out of the way of the main current. The Killers are straight in it. If you meant music's become a bunch of transitional crap that's called good, that's not new. We've got many decades of junk being heralded as good and vice versa. No different than the past.

Anyway, calling the Killers infantile drivel is a bit much if you put them up against real drivel like 3 Doors Down or something.

I think The Killers are enjoyable music that straddles mainstream tastes without losing too much creativity. It's a repetitive CD, with a few tracks that stand out. I'd put it at about the 200th best release of the year, but considering there were six or seven thousand CDs released, that's not bad.
