Sure, I have the best of Ultravox and enjoy that but never bought or heard any of John Foxx's subsequent solo albums. Knowing that I am a complete geek over 80's synthpop what should I pick up?

Metamatic, maybe?

Oh, and he has something new coming out soon doesn't he??? How is his later material?

If you don't have Vienna, Ultravox's first album with Midge Ure at the helm, you really should get it. It's a very good album. Sorry I can't help with Foxx's solo career.

Get the Ultravox albums before you mess with that solo shit.

I second this.

I liked "The Garden" and "The Golden Section". The "Stars On Fire" single is also great. I agree, however, that you should grab his two U-vox albums first.
