Some live concert that is on VH1 Classic right now.

I quite honestly can't believe the mullet that the bass player is sporting.

Pretty neat show though so far.

Very few bands could get the crowd going apeshit like the Violent Femmes in their prime. They used to sell out the Commodore here and its suspended dancefloor would be like a trampoline. You could get a good foot of air just from trying to stand still. Great shows.

Yeah, the energy both onstage and in the crowd was tremendous. And they really didnt seem to mind playing a lot of songs that are what, 23 years old now? (fuck, now even I feel old)

What year was this concert? I saw bits of it last night (alternated between it and the real autopsy show on Discovery Health).

It is sad that the Boathouse no longer has shows (I think since around Hurricane Isabel). I saw some great shows there...Pixies, Echo and the Bunnymen, Cramps...sigh, I feel old too!

I'm not sure. It said "2006" on the ID Tag but I think that that referred to the program premiere year.

Edit: If my Amazon research is right:

Quote:
recorded at Virginia's Boat House on July 21, 1991.

Gano doesn't look much more than 30. Looks good for being such an old fart.
