Yeah the last 3 years i have had it pretty bad. Mainly because i have worked in Greece the last 3 summers and then come back to cold grey England every October. Tried a load of different drugs and i still have not really improved. The last batch made me put on shitloads of weight which made me more depressed. Going to try the sun lamp & alternatives next winter.

this winter is the first where i haven't gained any weight. i mean, i've only lost three pounds, but in years past, i've gained up to 10 pounds per winter.

if you haven't tried wellbutrin, give it a shot. it's the only drug to not make feel drugged (prozac was bad for this), or eat a lot, or depress my sex drive. in fact, i think it's made me want more sex than usual. (or, that's because i've got a great partner, but whatever)

Cool cheers i will try it. Put on over 20 lbs this winter which is shocking. Went to docs for checkup and explained that since on them meds i'd piled on weight and he said that can happen and then gave me a talking to for high chol!

yeah, watch your cholesterol. i'm lucky to be un-fattening myself before any health problems kicked in.

20 pounds is a piece of cake to take off if you buckle down (no soda/juice/alcohol, candy, meat) for a couple of weeks. add a salad and piece of fruit to every meal and sure, you'll be pissy because you're not eating good food, but it'll take the weight off.

I may answer this question if you think it's safe to answer any personal question like this on the net, even on a "private", pass-worded forum. Drudge links an article that says employers are "Googling" potential-employee names to dig up dirt. I may have a problem with this since I was Use-Netting way back in 1994, using my proper name (like the idiot I usually am) on some posts, and employers wouldn't have to do much searching to link my name to some of my honest opinions. I fear that, in the coming years, search capabilities will be able to "connect the links", "break into" forums such as these, and collect a whole bunch of data, linking aliases/usernames to actual names.

worrying about this is why people like you will always work for people like me. get over it.

and Jewels: Your girl is depressed b/c you've been neglecting her. Get her a massage and a bikini wax and get to work. Down there.

everybody's different. i was on this stuff for six weeks and it made me hallucinate and fucked me up pretty bad. did prozac for 3 years and it was fine until the last 6 months. right now, celexa is doing it for me. this year i've changed some of the lighting in my house but i don't think it was enough to ward this off. i cannot stand the short days and cold weather. this is the hardest part of the year for me because it feels like winter will never end.

believe me, when you hit your forties you won't need a drug...or a partner for that matter. you will want it all. of. the. time. not that you're not having a great time now. i'm just saying there's stuff to look forward to.

oh, man do i know that everyone is different. found that out the hard way. my doc prescribed effexor for me and i had urinary problems. like, it would take me ten minutes just to start peeing. guess it happens in 1-2% of patients. if i didn't have such a patient, caring and generous (free samples!) doctor, i'd probably still be in the bathroom.

my parents are in their early fifties and my mom said that they have sex more now than ever. i don't know if i really believe that, but it's nice to hear. i'm honestly having the best sex of my life these days. it's weird to actually desire someone again.

sex talk on a sunday afternoon. ahhh...
