Seems like speculation at this point. But I would be interested in seeing what a Faint/Rick Rubin collab would yield.

I heard this rumor a couple of days ago, but from what I know, Rubin was suppose to come to Omaha to record an album. The Faint would remain on SC or establish their own label ala Rilo Kiley before they went major label.
The Faint has turned down huge sums of cash before this from deals from a different label, so I doubt they sign with American. I expect them to continue a fairly fanatical indie trait of not signing or approaching a major labll

His name is now Fink, atleast the lead singer/older brother. He changed his last name after he and Orenda Fink of Azure Ray finally got hitched.
I've liked all their stuff, but I can see where alot of people don't like the newer stuff.
