Anyway... have a fanflippin'tastic day, Kev.

That's funny. The first thread I remembering posting in (after lurking for a year) was the top albums of 2001 thread (which obviously was very inspiring for me) and I specifically remember that KPH kept posting his faves of earlier years instead of 2001. He would post his list as of that year, and then post an extra "had I been hip to" list of things from that year he'd discovered since.

Very brave. No one on this board would ever admit to not knowing about something from 1997 in 1997.

I remember that list.

I think 1997 sucked in general though, right? :)

2001, in retrospect, had some good moments. But lots of shitty stuff.

I just picked 1997 randomly.

Yeah, that Homogenic was pretty good.

That's the one you meant, right?

Nope. Still undecided about that.

I did get to hang out with "neat music people" and go to a really nice place for brunch. Funny how that actually does it for me at...AGE 29.

late but happy d-day. Uk bands do indeed produce better EP's than American bands.

Thanks all! Had a swell birthday weekend. Lots of red wine. There is good food to be had in Park Slope.

As well, though only if you believe The Squid and the Whale (I still cannot believe how horrid this film is, but I digress), there's semen shmeared on random school lockers and Jewish girls put out on the third date.

... Damn Jewesses. Where are ye when I need ye?
