Arrested: Policeman of the Village People

Victor Willis, the singer who dressed as a policeman in the disco band the Village People and helped write hits like "In the Navy" and "Y.M.C.A.," was arrested on Sunday after disappearing last year while cocaine and gun charges against him were pending, Reuters reported. Morley Pitt, an assistant district attorney in San Mateo County, south of San Francisco, said Mr. Willis, above, faced as much as five years in prison. He was arrested last summer but vanished after agreeing to a plea that set his term at a maximum of 16 months. Mr. Pitt said: "It's just sad that his life has spiraled down to the point where in all likelihood he's going to prison. You never like to see anybody go to prison, let alone somebody who is 54 years old."

I don't remember which one, but my father painted a Village, uh, Person's kitchen in the 80s.

That's really all I have.

I assure you I've got less:

they play this song a lot at bars in France.

You're right. I could actually make the addition that he painted it some sort of pea/lime/olive green color.

even less significantly:

The Village People's Go West was one of my very first albums. I received it as a birthday party present, age 8.

You can decide for yourself if it had any long-lasting efffects on me.

He should have held on to Phylicia Rashad, he'd be rolling in that Cosby syndicated money.

that's a pretty wide distribution of greens...so anywhere from a light green to a dark green?

All you ever wanted to know and more....

It was the cop and not only did my father paint his kitched fluorescent green, but also painted his living room day glo orange.
