depends on the brand of the shoe.... some brands are worth investing in. i don't think i've ever spent more than $100 on shoes, usually i find sweet kicks on sale.

Not a shoe person. Never have been. Give me a pair of black boots and I'm happy.

I rarely ever ever buy them for myself. I just wait til my sister or mother get tired of theirs(they're compulsive shoe shoppers and it doesn't take long for them to tire) and give them to me.

But I never have the right shoes for the right outfit and I refuse to spend a lot of money on shoes when I DO buy them.

but they're adidas!!! got a picture of what they look like? i'm curious. i noticed adidas has been coming out with some sick lines lately... but if i were to buy a pair of adidas, i would have nothing to match it. it bugs me when people wear adidas shoes and a puma jacket.

the only other sneakers i'll buy are chucks. they go with EVERYTHING.

it's okay to not match, no one ever picked on me for mixing stripes with plaid.

I went out thinking shoes because of this thread and came home with bras, panties, camisoles and a baby t. I got sidetracked. Now I want shoes again.

a DSW just opened down the road from my work... I nearly swerved off the road while shouting "oh shit" from my excitement, because I didn't know we were getting one. I went there last Friday. I was underwhelmed. I was looking for some cute espadrilles (the wedges, not the flats) with an ankle tie/ribbon... no dice.

When the hoopla calms down more, I'll look at them more carefully. Lots of cute Franco Sartos there. My girlfriend's husband works for Nordstrom, so she can buy me stuff at 30% off. And I've got a friend who works for Nike, so I can get Nike, Converse and Cole-Haan stuff at half-price. Believe it or not, I don't hit up my friends that often for discounts.

That's my guess. I have no problem dropping at least $200 on non-athletic shoes. Seems to be a lot of women around here (Annapolis, not Obner) who will go buy any old bullshit at Payless or some other shit peddler.
