I have disc 1 of the box set with me today, and I was gonna YSI a tune or two. Trouble is, there is so much great stuff on here, I don't have time to get it all up here.

So... are there any particular artists that you want to hear?

Some key artists:
Nick Lowe
The Damned
Ian Dury
Graham Parker
Elvis Costello
Richard Hell

Some equally amazing lesser-known artists:
The Pink Fairies
Roogalator
Tyla Gang
The Adverts
Wreckless Eric

And there are a few more, too.
Every damn song (25 of 'em) is great.

Let me know if any of the above strike your fancy.

If that Max Wall single is on there, definitely send 'em "England's Glory".

Sounds like a cool set, I'd like to hear some Pink Fairies and Graham Parker.

Very simply, it is the best damn box set I have ever heard.
AllMusic review, with comeplete tracklisting.

No, unfortunately there is no Motorhead. The one glaring omission. But just LOOK at that link, damnit. That is one hell of a collection!

Hah! I put that Larry Wallis tune on the Obner mix I fired off to Oldbullee.

They should have included Department S' third (and best) single "Monte Carlo Or Bust" as well.

Definitely some gems in there. Shame about the Motorhead, also nothing from The Damned's fan club 1st Anniversary single.

I got a couple of requests...

I'd love to have Dury's "Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick". I HAD the single which came with my copy of Do It Yourself, but lost it years ago.

Ditto, Wreckless Eric's "The Whole Wide World", lost my copy of the album many moons ago and I miss that song. Thanks

What was the band that Wreckless Eric was in...a trio named after whatever the name was on the bass drum they bought. This is gonna drive me nuts.

I feel like WE is having a bit of resurgence as of late. At least "Whole Wide World" is...

GO SEE HIM.

I saw him in 1990, just him and his guitar at Maxwell's in Hoboken. He played for three hours, and ran through his entire Stiff catalogue less one song. At the end of his set, he addressed the audience, well, "I've played everything except Final Taxi and (I forget the second song, it may have been I Need A Situation), which one do you want to hear?"

Best show I've ever seen, bar none.

I doubt it. He's playing in conjunction with some music conference or something. Details are still sketchy. But it's at the same tiny (and awesome) venue I caught the Fleshtones.

Whole Wide World was on my first Billzebub mix..and maybe the best song on there. I'd lurv to have that box set.

Maybe she's in the Bahamas
Where the Carribean sea is blue
Weeping in a tropical moonlit night
Because nobody's told her 'bout you

I need to hear this freakin' song again soon.
