so I guess that's pretty much all obners.
Anyway, I wanted to know what your opinions were of Jazz Choirs. I went and watched a student one perform yesterday. I have to say, every time I hear them I want to vomit. I feel like arranging a jazz tune with a choir takes a particularly good song and turns it into fluff. It bothers me. I understand that a lot of the harmonizing is difficult, so I respect the singers for their ability. But, when I hear them sing it and put words to Jazz songs it sounds so ridiculous to me.
I mean, there are some good ones for sure, but I just can't get over how silly Jazz choirs sound. I would so much rather hear the instruments do what the voices were doing.
Anyway, I am having a hard time explaining my issues with the jazz choir, but what are your opinions?
