Alex Hay, Ken Brown and in particular Peter Alliss. What the hell are they going on about? I have no idea but I like it.

Gary Lineker is hosting the show. Wtf. F**king BBC.

And the coverage starts and Tiger Woods has already finished his round. Thats f**ked up. In fact nearly everyone decent has already finished. Faldo +7.

I'd have to pull for either Tim Clark or Carl Petersson. Both NC State guys, though I'm not really sure either have a chance to win the thing. I'm guessing it'll be Tiger ("Goodbye fried rice, hello fried chicken!").

Actually seeing Darren Clarke in his pimp gear has slightly eased my mood, after finding out that most guys i wanted to check out has already finished.

An all purple outfit. Nice.

Vijay Singh tore up the first round, and leads so far today.

Damn! David Duval threw up an 84 today.

Dude should just hang it up.

Is he a bust or a breakdown? Is there a difference? Dude used to be the #1 ranked player in the world, and became a nutcase.

At the risk of crashing a guys' own thread, to the extent that I pay attention to this I'm going for Mark Hensby who's from my hometown (which has only 35,000 ppl and is halfway round the world from Augusta, so that's pretty cool for me

He came 5th last year and has been doing well since then, so he's in with a chance too

Though I now see that he went 80 in the first round, so I might need to scratch that one and go for Ogilvie, O'Hearn, Appleby, Allenby or Scott.

Basically it would be good to see a local win it for the first time

Did Steve Ryder die and no one heard about it?

Let me guess. You're a terrible golfer so you now hate everything golf related?

You'll never get anywhere in politics with that attitude sir.

I think I have swung a club twice in my life. Its more the BS clubhouse/exclusionary attitude, and the "Gotta find some way to get out of the house and away from the little woman" attitude.

And the constant ramming of golf down our throats. And the "country club-ization" of many major sporting and concert events (i.e. luxury boxes, etc)

BLECH

You should check out Chris Dimarco. Open drunk. Although he is also an open Gator football fan too.

Tigah.

Hard to bet against him.

I love the fucking Masters.

I know the oddsmakers say that Lefty had such a great outing last week that he's due to meltdown this week. I'm going with him. He is on fire right now.

Couple others to watch out for who ALWAYS play well here:

Jose Maria Olazabal (sp?)
Mark O'Meara

That's it. I'm going to work for the golf channel. Although O'Meara didn't show up I did alright with Mickelson and Olazabal.

Man, after the front 9 I thought we were in for one of the all time great finishes but it didn't quite pan out. There were like 8 guys in contention and they were all pretty much heavyweights.

Weather was perfect though and I'm glad Phil won. I love laying around on house on a Sunday watching major golf. So soothing.
