I sneezed, like, three times in a row today.

Left the beard alone, though.

No, but if I feel a sneeze coming on, I can trigger it by looking at a bright light.

Well that's good.

I've got one of those "Jason Variteks" and pull at it when pet dander causes skin burning.

A friend's father was so susceptible to this that he sneezed everytime he left the house.

Pre-meds I used to tug at mine constantly. It really got on everyone's nerves. Didn't even know I was doing it most of the time. Now I only pull when I feel a knot in a whisker. Anyone else get those?

I keep my beard short and small. Have five cats and a dog in the household. Even with the allergy meds, I'd be yanking hairs out wholesale if the beard were thick. Also scratch eyebrows a lot.

Probably offputting to passersby, but they shouldn't be in my living room to start with.

My (recently shaved off) beard looks awful in my passport photo.

Maybe my girlfriend was right.

Seriously? I don't think I have any habits due soley to my allergies. I didn't realize this beard-pulling thing was common. Maybe I'll grow a beard this spring and try it out.

i do the same exact thing. especially during periods of high stress. i had symmetrical bald face spots on either side of my chin from pulling out hairs there while writing exams. i actually still have a few spots on the left side of my face that don't grow hair as a result of this.

I do this too! It usually starts as a little tug out of boredom or stress and then if i happen to feel a knot or a split whisker I start actively trying to yank it out. This all happens practically subconsciously I should add. It's really kind of gross and I've been making a concerted effort to stop... I've even considered quitting drinking coffee since I think the caffeine seems to ramp up the phenomenon.

No, but I have been known to yank at my pubes in lieu of a flu shot.

Hurts about as much, but no more or less effective. At least doing so doesn't leave me with a day of flu-like symptoms.

Same here. It was gross, so I shaved my beard off. I'm much happier and less itchy clean shaven!
