Assuming shows means the rock (as opposed to theatre), I use pollstar.

Wow, between both of those website I found nothing I'd be interested in seeing. Actually, I should say nothing that I'd feel comfortable dragging the gf to.

for paris, the best single show listing is from the ticket section at the fnac website, as they're basically the ticketmaster of france and sell tickets to basically all the venues. unfortunately, their website is in french, which could make this a bit trying if you don't speak that tongue.
here's a link to shows in the paris region, i reccomend finding a french speaker (reader, actually) to help you navigate.
