So, my phone died on me, and after much haranguing, the bastids gave me a new one, no charge..but I lost my pictures and I lost my ringtones.

I used to have it ring to The Stones' "Bitch" whenever FEMGAR called, but it was one of those tinny-ass lame ones. So, I upgraded, to:

"What you know about that" by T.I. -- which oughta go well when I go to meetings with fabulously rich elderly white Alabamians.

Is there a phone for which you can record your own ringtones? Aldo Nova's "Hey Operator" would make a fantastic ringtone.

I just set my ringtone to be the Knight Rider theme.

Tons of free ones here:
http://newsongonline.org/tvmidi.html

I like the midi files better than mp3 since they vibrate.

I used to have "White Lines", but I kept getting the feeling that people all thought I was a coke dealer or something.

I had mine set up with David Bowie's "Space Oddity," but it got tiresome having to explain what it was when my phone would go off in mixed company. So now it's just the standard T-Mobile jingle.

Thanks for the free ringtone site though.... I like the Simpsons midis. I'm a dumbass... how do you send these to your phone?

You may be able to send them as an sms email with an attachment.
I had to send myself an email from my phone to figure out what my sms email address was. Now I can send emails from my computer to my phone, or more importantly my wifes phone instead of sending text messages and paying $0.10 + tax a pop.

My Nokia can connect to a PC via infrared or a data cable, so I just beam them using the Nokia software. It shows up like a usb drive and you just copy the files.

Mine is on "Bitch", but it's on vibrate 99% of the time.

I used to have Ministry's "New World Order", but it wasn't loud enough.

the heart of saturday night

too bad they didn't have anything from rain dogs or franks wild years. i would have died for telephone call from istanbul, especially when the organ or farfisa or whatever picks up at the end, but oh well. it makes my heart feel nice to hear this song, considering it's from my third favorite album of his.
