So I just was able to get back in my building after 24 hours because of a "minor" power problem. Apparently the Neutral circuit in my building blew up or burned out or something, and this caused the power to surge, burning up a few light fixtures, creating popping and sparks from the outlets which in turn were all buzzing loudly, causing the surge protectors to start to smolder and melt, and generally causing havoc. The whole place smelled like ozone and for a while I thought the place was going to burn down (almost did too cause one of the surge strips upstairs caught fire). I got off lucky it seems though. The only thing I lost was two surge protectors. The kid upstairs from me had his computer fried. Yeesh

only in new jersey would someone know what ozone smells like.

i built a Tesla Coil for an 8th grade science project, and it made an ozoney smell, so while i'm not in NJ i would recognize the smell.

It's that nasty smell that occurs when you fry your computer or something else electrical
