She's one of the least cool people on the planet and never has been cool. Entertaining but not cool. If over the years she had told all these people to fuck off through some deeper level of togetherness, confidence and awareness, she would have been cool. But erratic behavior that seems to stem from self-loathing, selfishness and uncontrolled addiction -- not so cool.

I think her albums deserve more credit than they're given, though.

Yeah, I think you have to shoot well past mediocre to make the complete fall from cool. Byrne's solo efforts aren't nearly as bad as some of the stuff mentioned on the thread, just really, really dull.
