I got my hands on this 100 song collection of Gainsbourg and I've finally got it all on my computer. If anybody sees anything from it that intruiges them or if anyone'd like an upload of the whole thing, I'm willing to do that.

I feel like it's a great primer if you know you're going to like him. Songs from 1958 until the end and some entire albums like "No. 4" and "Histoire de Melody Nelson" and then many near complete ones like "Gainsbourg Percussions," "Confidentiel," and "L'etonnant Serge Gainsbourg."

Incredible songs. If anybody is into a smaller primer I was also thinking about putting something together for a friend here, maybe a disc or two. Let me know if anything of this tickles your fancy.

Here's a link with the songlist:

as much as i could use the cash (quite seriously, in fact) i'll be uploading 2 versions shortly.

one is a couple of the full albums, mostly what i consider the essentials from the set.

then i'll go the whole 9 yards and do the whole 5 disc set. pms arriving shortly-ish.

okay we'll see if this ever actually happens. in mid-upload my computer overheated and shut down, rendering said upload useless.

starting again and hoping this shit doesn't happen again. one way or another this will get fulfilled, if it has to wait a week and a more stable internet connection

I always enjoy the Gainsbourg...

NP: Jean Claude Vanier, "L'enfant assasin des monches"... I'd upload for the masses, but it's an LP...
