Yeah, I know that it's maybe a little cheesy.
But still... I'm gonna see a Beatle!
June 17th, baby!!!
And it's free!

Basically treads water until he gets to his all star renditions of his 2 or 3 Beatles songs.

The band playing with him this year is kind of wacky: Billy Squier (um...), Edgar Winter (okay I guess), Rod Argent (pretty cool), Sheila E (pretty cool), Mark Hudson (who the hell?), and Richard Marx (what the fuck?!)

I've heard of him. He played Mr. Conductor on Shining Time Station, right?

Or am I thinking of George Carlin?

Correct. My parents used to watch the show with me just to see him.

A. I like Billy Squier
B. Rod Argent was a Zombie
C. Some of Ringo's solo hits are pretty good ("It Don't Come easy", "Photograph")
D. I'm going to see a BEATLE. How many of you have seen a Beatle in concert?

I doubt that I would pay for the show (especially at these prices), but to see Ringo for free is pretty damn cool.

This is 100% true. I love Ringo's '70s solo output.

Also, you people do realize that Mark Hudson is one of THE Hudson Brothers, right?!?!?

(But is he the one whose loins planted one of Goldie Hawn's eggs with the seed that would blossom into Kate Hudson, or is that one of the other Hudson Brothers?)

np: Steely Dan - "West of Hollywood"
