i don't know how you roo shaggers spell it but it's "check" in the US of A


You Yanks are really messing with my spelling. With all the reading of mostly American-published articles and books I do for my classes I see a lot of different spellings so when I go to write certain words I get confused about whether a letter is meant to be there or not.

And I used to be so good at spelling too...

My spelling has gone to shit also. Just because of the general deterioration of my brain though, not because of the intrusion of foreign spellings. I used to be so on top of that stuff, 100 on every spelling test ever, spelling bee winner. But now I sometimes hesistate over how to spell independent.
