Holy fuck. Do you have any samples FR? I've wanted to stencil some tees, etc. for a while now, but haven't gotten around to it.
I'm working on a new one now. All my tees that I've done previously I've given away. I usually do 3-4 colors, with the exception of a few plain black ones that I did on light colored shirts.
The best resource is Stencil Revolution, which is where I found the vid and stuff of this guy. I think the url is:

I found some cool paper thats sticky on one side so you can stick it to the surface and it holds. Some people dig spray adhesive but that scares me. I also use acetate.
To make stencils I usually get a pic and use Image Ready, then to PS and use the Photocopy filter to really simplify lines. I choose like 3-4 colors and draw the places I want them to occur. I print it out and trace onto the aforementioned paper or onto acetate using an overhead, which I also use on canvas' to get a design onto it. My friend was using the same technique and making Star Wars "painting" in pop art colors and making $200 a pop. Apparently artwork like that is fair use, seeing as ebay didn't take it down, nor objected. Dunno though. Makes me nervous personally.
PM if you have any questions. I can dig up some old stencils and email them to you if you'd like.
