I'm with GAR...ain't nothing wrong with Buffett. I have 4 JB discs in my collection and although I don't listen to them much I wouldn't trade 'em in. He's certainly lived/lifes his life to its fullest. I think I'd rather be a 60+ year old Buffett than a 20 something indie rock dude. And since jazzfest is all about combining mongering with music, Buffett is a damn fine fit for it.

Jazzfest >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Coachella

Kinda surprised here, but in a good way. I don't listen to Buffett on a regular basis, but I have said it before: If you can't have fun at Buffett, you don't understand fun.

And Phil -- its ALWAYS been a diverse set list...Widespread and the like play all the time. Sorry if you're caught up on semantics.

I thought everyone one was a hater here on Buffett so I never mentioned him. I don't have some freak flag flying for Buffett, but his early albums upto Son of a Sailor are fun, provincial, escapist gems. As far as I am concerned, another harmless entertainer that falls in line with the dead with some good songs and obnoxious fans.
