So I showed up to work today without any music to listen to. As immediate action was required I stopped by the nearby HMV for a little emergency visit:

- Morrissey - Ringleader of the Tormentors (okay, you guys convinced me)

- Stereolab - fab four suture

It was weird to go to HMV as I worked at one for 5 years and usually shop at the indie stores but I was desperate.

Anyone else do a little lunch-hour cd shopping?

Let me know how good that Stereolab is. And no shopping for me today or after work. I plan on running home to watch the Phillies-Braves game on TBS. Tomorrow perhaps.

Not today, but I have been ducking out to do this lately. I actually picked up those two on a lunch break, coincidentally. You're lucky to have indie record shops. All I have is HMV or FutureShop and the interweb/ebay.

You're right. That's sad. I had originally wanted to buy some Ariel Pink but they didn't know what the hell it was. At the shop I used to work at it was a staple of the display rack.

I bought it when it came out thinking it would be great, but it's really not that good. It's probably my least favorite album by them.

Yeah I like the first and last tracks but the rest is pretty damn uninspiring. :(

It's probably my least favourite as well, actually. I can't bring myself to say I openly dislike but it's trying my patience a bit. I immediately put on Mars Audiac for an antidote.
