I was playing Nina Simone's Trouble in Mind kinda loudly, with the lyric "the sun's gonna shine in my backdoor someday", while the guy next door was watching Backdoor Sluts 5. He heard the song, pisses himself laughing, then came over to tell me about it.

Around here he'd get a beatdown, I bet.

haha that would be weird. I live in a college, so next door means he shares the wall with me. And i knew him already, so...

And its Backdoor Sluts, not Backyard Sluts. Sheesh.

Are you sure this story isn't the other way around?

ELAINE

[coming toward GEORGE to sit over by JERRY, who's on the arm of the

couch. GEORGE is standing.] Hey, George, we saw your father on the

street before.

GEORGE

What's he doin' in the city today?

[They both shrug.]

GEORGE

You didn't ask him?

[They both shake heads no. Elaine's eating chips.]

GEORGE

You didn't say hello?

ELAINE

Well, he was with someone.

A man.. In a cape.

GEORGE

Why was he wearing a cape?..

[ELAINE and JERRY shrug.]

GEORGE

Was my father wearing a cape?

JERRY

No. Jacket and tie: no cape.

GEORGE

Huh.. Cape.. [turns, slowly goes to door] W--a man with a cape doin'

with my father?.. What was my father doing with a man in a cape? ..

[opens door] Why a cape? [out the door and gone]

For those who didn't realize it, if it isn't already painfully apparent, the man in the cape is Larry David.

np: Bob Schneider - "Bullets"

Yeh man. BackDOOR Sluts was a classic, whereas BackYARD Sluts was unmitigated trash.

well, the sun shining in the backdoor isn't quite as hilarious juxtaposed against sluts in the backyard.

Larry David guest appearances on Seinfeld are always huge. Steinbrenner, Man In The Cape...are there others?

Yeah, there's two others I can think of. He plays a convenience store clerk or hot dog vendor (can't remember which), who won't take George's $20 because it has lips drawn on it. Also, he plays an astronaut on a sci-fi movie Jerry's watching when he tries writing down a joke in his sleep and can't make out what he wrote in the morning. He was also the original voice of Newman, when he threatened to jump off the building, but they have since gone in and overdubbed Wayne Knight's voice.
