what musicians lyrics can be related to romanticism

because i have a project due tomorrow and i'm having a hard time coming up with songs.

if i can away with a blend of gothic/romantic literature or poetry, things would be a little easier then

i'm probably over thinking this and there are obviously billions of options but i can't figure anything out right now. and i want to do this project on musicians i like.
i just have to pick one song, make a poster for it, and turn it in. i want to make this look nice, though. i skipped work to do this, after all.

sweet, that's exactly who i was thinking and i was looking at his lyrics in particular.
now i need to feel alright about using songs with rape, fuck, suck my dick, possibly nigger, etc. in my english project..
for school..

i know, i know. i was thinking i could use his more storytelling type songs that are darker in context for the gothic romatic divergence, but i guess i should go the safe route.
it's school after all.

It's old, but the first Alan Parsons Project album is all Poe stories.

I would figure the Cure would be exactly this; and what do I know anyway, I'm just a casual fan and BeeOk will probably come and slice me up into integral parts. But, a Waits fan I am not and I know you are(heavily), and someone else is recomending him; then maybe Waits aint the right choice or you don't see the apple under your proboscis. Good Luck! I should ask, Does it have to be Romantic era Lit or just an example of romanticism?

well i immediately thought of tom waits or nick cave, but i was scared if i picked some lyrics by either of them then my teacher would think they werent applicable and i'd get a bad grade.
so i was wondering if i could get someone elses point of view and sure enough they helped me out a lot and i am using tom waits or nick cave. i did a painting for nick cave. now i'm doing drawings for tom waits.
