My roommate bought four tickets and has one to get rid of. Anyone interested in going? Unfortunately, the ticket is kind of pricey ($50 - $37+ticketmaster fees), but they're pretty okay seats and I'd imagine that SR in the Opera House is going to be a pretty incredible experience.

If you don't want to go, perhaps you've got a friend who is interested.

Thanks!

Hey,

The offer is appreciated. Please write up a review for us! I've never been to the Opera house, so I'm rather disappointed that I won't be in attendance.

boring. no flow. muddy sound. good visuals. no band-crowd connection. yes, seriously.

this was my second time seeing them and i don't think i'll make the mistake again. i like them just fine recorded.

i saw them at radio city music hall in 2003 and it's one of my top 5 concert experiences ever. "i saw the face of god."

Yeah, thats about the going rate--amazing live show. To hear this disheartens me. Not just because it is one of my favorite bands, but it reminds me that my next outing to see another favorite might end this way.

Muddy Sound? Damn. If that was a problem from the audience perspective, perhaps the monitors were off or other tech problems plagued the band?

Seeing a show at the Opera House is definitely a neat experience. Seeing Sigur Ros, though... ugh. I had heard such great things about the band, like how they really get your emotions going. That really didn't happen to me except during the first song of the encore when I seriously considered punching either Z to my left or my roommate to my right in the head. I can't explain it, but for like five minutes, I was fidgety and filled with rage. Weird.

Then, at other times I found myself thinking that just being in the room with some weird Icelandic dudes onstage somehow made me weird. I didn't really enjoy the show too much. Plus, those seats just are not made for people who are over 5'7".

And then, there were some meatheads in front of me. How the hell do they know about Sigur Ros? They also left after about four songs. This show was way too expensive to walk out on after four songs.

I should've stayed home and ordered $50 worth of pizza instead of venturing downtown.

No. Next time, though. I'm still sort of anxious from that show. Feel like I ate the bad shrooms or some shit.

it wasn't a complete bust. there were three or four songs that came off really well, but i was overall really disappointed.

i knew things weren't going to be grand when the drums of "glosoli" failed to catch my attention. and they're my favorite part of that song.

the last song's visuals were neat, though. i thought i was going to have a seizure at one point.

i'm glad i'm not the only one. i actually closed my eyes to avoid a seizure. then i thought to myself, "will these guys know what to do if i seize? i'd better keep my eyes closed..."

yeah, count me in on those that are shocked/disheartened by your reviews from last night. the 2 times i've seen them (the most recent being this past february) were nothing short of amazing.
