Has anyone heard of this guy? From Los Angeles i believe. He supported Animal Collective on the latest tour. Described as a wordsmith.

He's in town for a gig on Sunday.

That would be Roseanne, aka Roseanne Barr, a semi-notorious female comedian/sitcom star from the early 90s. That particular pic is when she was asked to sing the US national anthem. She screeched it out and suffered the wrath of the American public who neglected to consider that they were the ones who made her famous enough for her annoying schtick that she would be asked to sing the anthem.

A friend of mine is a huge fan of Roseanne. He wrote an "essay" about the evolution of the show's title sequence over the years.

No, it had John Goodman. His character wasn't really like Al.

I guess I just compared it to MWC because it's a similar sort of late-'80s/early-'90s "dysfunctional family" sitcom.

I've seen AC twice here, and BARR wasn't with them either time. There's a chance he either didn't play with them here or didn't play many of their dates here.
