i might have to find something fun to do. my mom is going insane and she not only bought me my prom dress, which only cost 27 dollars but that's still very generous on her part, promised me as a graduation gift and birthday present a 60 gig ipod, bought me this cute jean jacket today, a new pair of jeans yesterday, a pair of cute shoes for prom, and told me she hates all of the shoes i wear right now so i need to go to dsw today and buy a few new pairs of shoes.

therefore. i have a whole lot of cool shit now, and i must find somewhere to wear it.

i may be thinking too far ahead here, but i'd wear the shoes on your feet, the jeans jacket on your back, and the prom dress on your head.

prom dress on my head?

it's actually a prom dress/gallery opening dress.

now that i bought my graduation shoes, i'm wishing i bought low top white converse instead. i want a new color.

oh yeah, you have to wear all white to graduation if you're a female.

maybe after prom i'll fashion it into a turban

at one point in my life, actually several, i tried really hard to not be as female as many other females are. buying a shitload of clothes and shoes and stuff, but i just can't help it.
i am atleast comforted by the fact that i can shop much better than any other female. i buy my stuff cheap.

Update: Mono was definitely one of the top three shows I've ever seen. Way noisier live than on record. The shifts in volume and the delay/distortion/reverb combinations were incredible. I was still shocked ten minutes after they left the stage.

Pelican was pretty boring in a tolerable way. I missed their last song because we had to leave a few minutes early.

I guess that i agree but not passionately. Mono I found to be pretty boring, but i agree that their noisiness was a pleasant surprise. Pelican needs more speed metal in their metal, and also bored me. we left after 3 or 4 songs i think, which may have been more my wife's fault then theirs.

i don't think i'll order there cheese sticks again. while i was insanely hungry, and the food was pretty good, the marinera sauce sucked. and i kept putting my hand in spilled beer, over and over again, at this dirty table where i sat to eat.
not a problem though. that's why we wear clothes.

and i had to leave early and because of that my mom said she'd pay for the liars concert i'm going to this friday night

i hate going to shows in charlottesville, but tell me how they are. We saw them at Swingers (now Mcormacks) years ago before the drummer and bassist, i think, split, and they were awesome.

I also hate Charlottesville. I'm not a fan of the Liars first album, but the two newest are two of my favorites of this decade. I doubt they're going to focus much on the songs from the first album anyway. Where were you standing or sitting at the Nanci Raygun?

see, i'm the opposite, i'm a big fan of the first album and don't care much for the second and third (actually i think of them as almost two different bands, stylistically), but i don't expect them to play anything off the first one anyway. we were in the back for most of mono and pretty close to the front for pelican.

we were sitting on the right side where the sitting area steps are. if youre facing the stage its to the right.
if you saw anyone wearing a VU t-shirt, or husker du.
it was us.
