Where are the bonus tracks on these things? I just realised Options R was left off of the remaster of Pink Flag, and I assume there's more missing from the other two. It's a shame, too, I really like that song.

So, what am I missing? Are the bonuses from Chairs Missing and 154 worth seeking out?

"Dot Dash" is a great song. Not sure which album it was a bonus track on.

dot dash and options r were both originally available on a 7" released through harvest. they were tacked on to the original pink flag CD release. i guess the intention with the remasters was to restore the "original LP" tracklistings. i was kind of dissapointed the two extra tracks were left off the remaster as they're great songs.

Yeah, those two songs are excellent, but the bonus tracks on the other two albums were pretty mediocre and unnecessary. Still, I think the old versions sound great, and I'm glad I already have those.

It's strange to see reissues nowadays with less tracks on them than the original CD releases. I don't see why the producers would want to exclude the extras, why not just tack them on and let the listeners who swear by original sequencing stop before it comes on or, more likely, just remove it from the playlist? It seems to be the mentality recently with remasters (see the Talking Heads reissues), and I'd rather have the option of hearing them.

They're both included on my CD of Pink Flag, Billz. Or are you talking about the singles?

Yeah, keep in mind that Wire remasters (with even more bonus tracks) were put out just a few years after the original CD issue. This will be the 2nd set of remasters that's coming up.

That would explain why my copy doesn't have Dot Dash. Didn't know there were other remasters.

I got my Pink Flag cd in '87--EMI/Harvest label. The only bonus track is Options R. Subsequent releases may have included Dot Dash, my only copy of the song is on the 7".

My copy definately has Dot Dash on it. It's '94 EMI/Harvest.

I believe Colin Newman had mentioned that the bonus tracks were being left off the new reissues because the band wanted the albums to play as they were intended, without the b-sides.

not the best investment to warrant repeat purchasing, I guess that's why they're tacking on the extra live stuff to the box set. But one must respect artistic vision.

if you want the b-sides, there's a great compliation called On Returning 1977-1979 and most of the good ones are on there.

and yes...dot dash is a great song.
