Season 1 is out today. It's only 6 episodes but I think Best Buy had of for like $13!

I also just found out that Dennis Leary's "The Job" the complete series is out on DVD too. Man that show was funny. It was too edgy for a network.

I need this series in addition to Scrubs season 2. The problem is that I will never watch all these old tv series. Maybe I need to get rid of the tivo, haha.
I have arrested development 1 and 2 and scrubs 1 and have only seen the first or second disc of Arrested development season 1. We just never watch dvd's prob because we want to always watch stuff to clean off the tivo. If they would take all 3 CSI's off the air, I'd have more free time.

Exactly the same problem we have. Not to mention that, for some reason, I find watching multiple back-to-back episodes of one series kind of tiring, even with something I really love like Arrested Development. And while it would work, I'm just not organized enough to do a one-a-night type thing.

Did you buy Scrubs 3 at Best Buy?

If so, did it come with an extra features dvd like the other two?

When they get the clear off the rights to play all them songs heard on the show.

It could still take many more years. Sucks I know. The show is deff number 1 on my dvd want list.

Agreed. THAT'S the Denis Leary show FX should be airing.

np: Isaac Hayes - "Theme from Shaft"

I assume this was in response to the Wonder Years question. But, wouldn't that rights business already be taken care of when they used the songs on the actual airing of the show? Or was there little forethought about VHS or DVD sales back then?

Every time that I go to Best Buy I check the tv show section just to see if it has come out. It will be a glorious day.

That's exactly it - when the shows aired, the deal was for that and maybe syndication, but nothing was said about selling the shows. That's what held up the lone season of Freaks & Geeks, and they had to fight very hard both to get the rights to all that music as well as keep the set at a reasonable price, but they did it. This is why WKRP in Cincinnati is still unavailable on DVD. Sucks.

Speaking of TV on DVD, why the hell is only one season of Barney Miller out?! Damn I loved that show as a kid.
